The project aims to economically empower vulnerable youth—especially those from conflict-affected backgrounds—through entrepreneurship training, vocational skills, and access to finance, while also promoting peacebuilding and social reintegration.
The project will make a positive environment by Strong government support for youth employment (NST2 & Youth Programs), Improved infrastructure (roads, electricity), Better access to finance through SACCOs, and Increased community openness to peacebuilding.
The Challenges rose from Inflation increased costs of materials and equipment and Post-COVID economic vulnerability of families.
Main Activities Implemented include Entrepreneurship Training of 11,026 youth trained in 27 clubs by the topics of business planning, marketing, management, Distribution of machines & equipment and seed capital and Coaching & Peer Learning.
With continuous mentoring and peer-to-peer learning, all clubs engaged in income-generating activities. Equipment distributed to 17/27 clubs (ongoing), and the results impact all 27 youth clubs launched or strengthened businesses, increased entrepreneurial skills and confidence, improved financial inclusion (savings & loans), strong community involvement and ownership and youth-led initiatives expanding beyond initial beneficiaries.
